What type of ingredients do you use?
We only use the finest natural, organic and wholesome ingredients, including certified organic meat and organic free range eggs, in all our products. For a detailed list for any particular product please its individual product page in our store.

    Do you use artificial colors?
Absolutely not! Our food colorings, which are only used in the decorative yogurt coating and frostings, are all natural concentrated plant extracts.

   Why organic?
Organic foods are not produced using any synthetic pesticides, hormones, or antibiotics. For more information about why we use organic ingredients see our Ecofriendly dog treat information page.

   Do you do custom orders?
Absolutely! We encourage our customers to send us requests. Please drop us an email at bigdog@sadiesbarkery.com with your idea and we will be happy to send you a quote.

   How long will I have to wait for my treats?
All treats are made to order. That allows us to keep from using preservatives to keep them fresh. Most orders will ship within 1-2 days of payment confirmation. Custom orders may take a little longer depending on the size of the order. We will email you to let you know when your treats have been shipped.

   Why don’t you ship all your cakes?
Some cakes, like Sadie’s favorite Squinny cake, are too fragile to be shipped. Those cakes are available for limited pick-up in the Chicago-land area or personal delivery for a very small fee.    How do I store my treats?
In general we advise our customers to keep their treats in the refrigerator or freezer. Because none of our treats contain artificial preservatives they have a more limited shelf life unless stored in your refrigerator or freezer. Treat them like you would home baked cookies. Check your products description for any special instructions.

*Liver snaps must be stored in the freezer or they will mold in days because of their high moisture content.

   My dog has allergies. Are your treats safe to give him/her?
We can make almost any of our recipes allergy friendly. Just drop us an email and we’d be happy to make a batch for your little buddy.

   Do you have soft treats?
All our cookies are fairly soft because they are baked fresh to order but we have a couple that qualify as “soft” treats. Check out our liver snaps, brownies, pupcakes, muffins, and donuts.

   What are your coatings/ frostings made from?
Our coatings are all natural carob and yogurt. Our frostings are mad from cream cheese, honey, and a little water. All food coloring in the coating/frosting are natural concentrated plant extracts. We never use artificial colors or flavors.
